Regen build is so much fun for casual play. Unlike the rest of the From games, regen is incredibly viable for PvE. Speedrun clear 1-1, don't forget to grab the Archstone shards from near the dragons and the Thief's ring. Speedrun 4-1 for Regen Ring, Adjudicator's Shield, and Crescent Falchion +1. You can roll over the edge of the wall to skip ... Not in demons souls for dex only builds. Or Faith based builds. You won’t be getting far enough to change into a viable weapon or learn miracles that you can even use til deeper into what in the original was the, and really still is, the hardest world in demon souls. 4. 1 and 2 are catered to strength heavy builds. 3 is magic. 4( and 5) faith ...i know its not ideal, but I want a run something thats a mix of everything. Hybrid between magic, faith and regular combat. (maybe just dex)Do you think thats possible without seriously handicapping myself. I started out with royal and I am just looking for a balanced build . If so what gear would you recommend? Faith builds do not really use damage miracles (there is only one!) in Demons Souls. They are melee builds that trade damage output (compared to str and dex builds), for HP regen, which can be quite high in Demon’s Souls. A properly geared Faith build can have 14 to 18 HP/second regen just walking around. Completing builds at 50-70 is tough. It was a slog and took a while, but it the last part of it was a lot easier once I got the Moonlight Sword. I now have a Blessed Claymore +5, a Compound Bow +10, and just need one more Colourless Demon Soul to max out the Adjudicator's Shield. I typically like magic heavy builds, so I wasn't expecting to like this build very much...I'm playing a faith build now and it's really tough in the beginning with no ranged. My magic user seems so much more powerful. However the faith build is strong in later levels with the health regen alone. I have a long bow, but have 15 str and 12 dex. Though it sounds like I could use a compound bow from what I'm reading despite not having 22 ... Temple Knight is pretty well the best starter class for almost everything that isn’t a magic build. There are unique weapons (which upgrade with colorless demon souls, basically DeS's Demon Titanite) that scale well with Faith. There is also one normal, Faith scaling upgrade path that works on STR weapons (most straight swords, blunt, axes, and some polearms).
